I am Arianna Favalli, videomaker and photographer based in Bologna and Milan, but I have already worked all over Italy.
I started studying photography and video in 2015 and since 2020, after completing a bachelor’s and master’s degree in cinema, I have been actively dedicated to photographic and video production.
I have worked both abroad and with organisations on the ground, from national television to small non-profit organisations, dedicating equal importance and dedication to each one for the best success of each project.
I am passionate about documentaries (I have already produced two!) and put a little bit of me into every single work.
The documentary was born at the same time as fictional cinema and has the distinct quality of telling true stories and characters.
The documentary style (also called reportage) is an element present in both the video and photographic panorama: the characterising soul of this style is that of reproducing an element in the most real way possible, therefore with the least recourse to fiction and image construction.
However, a reportage photo or video is much more than that: it is about telling the emotions, the places, the people and the stories one encounters. This allows this style to be very ductile: every event, from wedding photos to corporate videos, can be told with the narrative intensity typical of the reportage style.
It is this spontaneity that I seek and that I consider fundamental to achieving an excellent result: every work, whether photographic or video, tells a story and every story is born from the people who live it.
It is precisely for this reason that I become attached to every single work: my style leads me to get close to the subject of the work and to get to know him as well as possible in order to represent him in the best possible way.
Documenting for me means telling every story that is presented to me with passion and dedication.

I am a freelance director and videomaker who can follow you throughout your journey in the world of video. I can accompany you in the creation of a tailor-made video, taking care of creating a perfect product to help you with your communication. If your marketing strategy also includes live videos or webinars, you can contact me for directing streaming events.
If, on the other hand, you are a service or video production studio, you will find in me a video operator able to follow the shooting, video editing and colour correction phases.
I came to video through my passion for photography and film. I shot my first video at the age of 18 and have not stopped since.
I took two degrees in Cinema at the University of Bologna and won a Master’s degree in Documentary at the Cineteca of the same city. In September 2020 I started my business only two months after finishing my Master’s degree. Since then, I have never stopped working on video production.
Today I work with various organisations in the area as a videomaker, camera operator, editor and colourist, depending on the client’s needs. The basis of my work is communication: understanding the needs required is the basis for creating a product that reflects the client’s wishes.
I work with small and large Italian, foreign and non-profit companies, sporting events, trade fairs, individuals, parties, interviews, documentaries… I have no favourite genre: my ultimate goal is customer satisfaction!
Who is the video realisation service for?
Whether you are the owner of a small company or the communication and marketing manager of a more structured reality, you will find in me an experienced collaborator ready to make your commercial and corporate videos.

I am a freelance photographer able to follow you all the way, from the planning of the shoot to the post production of each shot tailored to you, taking charge of every step.
My aim is to create the perfect image.
The world of photography was the first one I approached when, at the age of 16, I was given my first camera. Combined with my great passion for cinema, it was the element that convinced me to devote my studies to the world of photo and video production.
In the following years, in addition to university, I dedicated myself to the specialised study of post-production and storytelling through images, then collaborating with small theatre organisations, until I got to photograph the Verona choir on the tour with Ennio Morricone.
After completing my education with flying colours, I immediately started working as a photographer for events such as corporate events, sporting events, weddings, as well as collaborating with private individuals on portraits.
My work is always full of new discoveries and encounters, and photography allows me to capture all this in unique images!

Drone operator
My only limit is the sky.
ENAC-certified drone pilot
I am a drone operator, or dronist, operating in Bologna city and throughout the Emilia-Romagna region.
Working with me I guarantee:
- An ENAC-certified drone operator and all necessary authorisations to fly the drone in compliance with the law.
- Very high quality (4K) and perfectly stabilised images.
- Professional and insured equipment. I do not use any kind of amateur drone because it risks generating low quality images and a poor result.

Without this certificate and liability insurance, drone services cannot be provided. Always request it!
A1-A3 Patent: what it is and what it is for
By European law, as of 2018 every person working with a drone (or who has a drone weighing more than 250g) must have an ENAC flight licence and liability insurance, otherwise they are not allowed to fly.
In fact, the dronist must guarantee all safety regulations for himself, others, animals as well as people living and acting in the vicinity of where he flies. The only certified way to demonstrate this knowledge is through the A1-A3 certificate issued by ENAC to all dronists who pass the training course.
There are also areas where flying is not possible. A1-A3 operators can access particular sites provided directly by the Italian Civil Aviation Authority for airspace control and thus guarantee maximum safety. By contacting me as a dronist for filming, I will take care of requesting all the necessary authorisations to get the drone in the air.
Should a dronist be found carrying out work without this certificate and without insurance, both the worker and the employer of the work would face repercussions.
FAQ
Yes. To use a drone for professional filming, it is necessary to obtain specific authorisation from the National Civil Aviation Authority (ENAC). To obtain authorisation, you must submit a detailed application describing how you intend to use the drone and where you intend to fly it. In addition, it is necessary to have a flight licence, which certifies that the pilot has the necessary skills and knowledge to safely operate a drone in a civil environment.
In addition, it is important to note that some areas are forbidden to fly drones, regardless of the purpose for which they are to be used. For example, it is forbidden to fly drones near sensitive areas such as airports, nuclear power plants, prisons and other security facilities. In addition, it is forbidden to fly drones in such a way as to inconvenience or harass third parties, or in such a way as to endanger flight safety.
By contacting me as a dronist for filming, I will always take care of requesting all the necessary authorisations to get the drone airborne, avoiding the typical headaches of dealing with Italian bureaucracy.

Absolutely. As mentioned above, it is mandatory to use a drone for professional purposes.
It depends on the city.
It is possible to use the drone in the metropolitan area of cities but never within them. To do this, you must have the necessary authorisations.
If the job requires it and it is legally possible, I will personally take care of requesting all the necessary authorisations to use the drone in Bologna.
It is important to specify at the outset that it can take up to 45 days to obtain authorisation to fly the drone in the air and high additional costs.
True, there are drones that can be flown without a licence, but a licence, at least A1-A3, is always necessary in the working environment to guarantee safety and security standards.
The drone I use generates images in 4K, perfectly stabilised, and has a range that allows me to follow the work completely. It is precisely for this reason that I have taken and passed the ENAC-certified A1-A3 exam.
Service prices start at €300 + VAT per day.
All costs of the authorisations required to fly the drone are excluded from this price.
Of course, in the event that the drone filming service is combined with others (more days; editing the footage; etc.), a quote can be formulated to make the service even more convenient.
The cost of the insurance is entirely my responsibility.
I am professionally insured and the drone is covered by third-party liability insurance.
